Frequently Asked Questions
What are the rates?
Rates are based upon the size of cabin, the number of people in your party and the time of year, i.e. summer, winter or holiday.
What is your reservation cancellation policy?

What weather can I expect in Flagstaff in the winter?
Flagstaff is at 7,000 feet in the mountains. Snow can be expected any time from October to April. We always advise that you come prepared when visiting Flagstaff during the winter months. A four-wheel drive or all-wheel drive vehicle is best. You can also purchase snow chains at a minimal cost. Typically all major highways are kept plowed. The roads on the property are dirt roads. We keep them plowed and well maintained, but ice will form if it is cold. Check the local forecast if you have any concerns.
Can I expect a refund for my reservation if I choose to cancel because I don’t feel comfortable driving in the snow?
Reservation refunds are issued in form of a gift certificate only if major highways, i.e. I-17 and I-40 are closed and are impassable. This very rarely happens. Please keep in mind that if you make a reservation in northern Arizona in the winter, it does snow. If you do not feel comfortable driving in winter conditions, you may want to consider coming another time of year.
Are the cabins furnished?
Each cabin has a kitchen or kitchenette (which means a smaller range and half-size refrigerator) with a range, refrigerator and a wood-burning stove or fireplace. All cabins have a microwave. The kitchen/kitchenettes also have pots, pans, dishes, silverware, cooking utensils, toaster and coffee maker. Cabins contain all of the linens and towels required for the maximum occupancy, as well as, bath soap, toilet paper and dish soap. Paper towels & shampoo are not provided.

Bagged firewood can be purchased in the office for $5.00 per bag including a firestarter. Firewood can be ordered at the time the reservation is made. We will put pre-ordered firewood in your cabin for your arrival. Typically during the summer months, we are on burn restriction. Wood-burning stoves are not allowed to be used while on burn restriction. Outdoor fires are never permitted. The barbecues are for charcoal only.
