Flagstaff Cabins in the Woods

Baxter aka “Bullet”

Baxter - at the Inn - post

Baxter was our first dog.  I adopted him, and his name, on February 10, 2010 from a wonderful, no-kill shelter in Green Valley, Arizona when he was around five or six years old.  Well, truth be told, he saw me and that was it… I was adopted.  He was a German Shepherd mix whose ears got compromised in the “mix”.  His left ear could stand up, but the right one couldn’t, it just stayed folded.  Actually both ears flopped when “at ease,” however, his nose was always at “attention” 24/7.  He gave us six wonderful years of love, laughs and a relationship we had never before experienced.  We lost him on April 9, 2016 due to kidney failure.  We, his “mom” and “dad”, were with him until his last moment of life.  He loved his August, 2015 Arizona Mountain Inn vacation, and we did too. Thank you, Arizona Mountain Inn & Cabins for giving so many dogs and their peeps this wonderful doggie vacation haven.  We will be back.  That is a promise.

P.S.  Baxter’s nickname was ‘Bullet’ at least for the middle photo below because of his pose.  ‘Bullet’ was Roy Roger’s and Dale Evan’s dog!
